After years of research and development, the first version of the Radix Public Network, Olympia, is launching on June 30th, 2021. Olympia will lay the foundation upon which all future versions of the Radix Public Network will be built. So, what is Olympia and why should you be excited about it?

What is Olympia?

Olympia is the first iteration of the Radix Public Network, commonly referred to as mainnet. Olympia will implement the foundational technologies that serve as the basis for all future Radix releases, and allow our community to start taking advantage of the most fundamental of Radix features.

Importantly, Olympia will…

We know the community has been eagerly awaiting news of how their eXRD tokens on Ethereum can be swapped for XRD tokens on the Radix mainnet, which is launching soon. This blog explains how that’s going to work. But we’re also pleased to announce that we’ve been working on some much more exciting things than the typical token redemption event.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

  • At mainnet launch, eXRD will become the “wrapped” form of XRD on Ethereum (think wBTC/BTC) and will create a permanent bridge between the Radix and Ethereum ecosystems.

Piers Ridyard, CEO — Radix DLT

This week brought some good crypto news with Paypal now letting people withdraw Bitcoin they have bought from Paypal. Previously you could only buy/hold/sell entirely within the Paypal walled garden. Buying crypto is a huge barrier to entry for many people around, and this just brings us that one step closer to mainstream adoption not only being possible, but unstoppable.

In addition, Apple is moving their juggernaut eye towards at least considering crypto as worth integrating. However, this might be a case of dream on little dreamer — they have been hiring VR and…

The CEO of Radix DLT Piers Ridyard recently conducted Q&A sessions with the @DeFiRaccoons and @Crypto_Talkzs Telegram communities, who have 25k and 23k members respectively.

These Q&A sessions have proved to be a great way for Radix to connect with the wider crypto community, and some excellent questions were put forward and answered by Piers.

As there is some overlap between the two interviews we have combine them together for ease of access, the full Q&A’s can be found via the links above.

If you have any follow up questions you are welcome to ask via our Telegram or Discord.

Building the platform for smart money requires a world-class team, and those behind Radix have the shared passion, broad experience, and complementary skill sets for the task.

In the previous post, we spoke with Adam & Farrah, and this week we had the opportunity to catch up with two members of the dev team, Theo and Shambu.

Prior to joining Radix, Theo worked as a QA…

So it begins, the Battle of the Radix Swag contest. Drum roll. Cue the epic music!

Over the past few months, we have seen many in the community ask about how they could get some Radix-style apparel. At the same time, we have seen some incredible Radix-themed art being produced by the community. Seems a good fit, right? So, now we are ready to launch the new Radix store, we want to start things off with a community competition to help support the creative ideas in the community! After all, who better than Radix enthusiasts (like you!) …

Every other week, Radix DLT Founder Dan Hughes hosts a technical Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on the main Radix Telegram Channel. Here members of the community have a chance to get insights from Dan himself on Cerberus, Cassandra, and other key technical innovations of Radix.

Thank you to everyone who submitted questions and joined our AMA. You can read the full transcript below from the session on May 11th 2021.‍

I think this has been asked before, but I can’t find an answer in detail: Dan, what happens if you die tomorrow? I mean: what’s the realistic impact of…

The saga of Doge coin continues.

After our favorite creator of rockets, tunnels and electric cars, Elon Musk, appeared on SNL, we saw not just a spike in Doge, but also the meteoric rise of a new breed of copycat Doge coins, cumulating in over $8BN (yes, Billion) worth being set to Vitalik Buterin’s public Ethereum address.

Vitalik promptly donated $1.2bn SHIB tokens to Sandeep Nailwal India Covid Relief Fund. Crypto may be crazy, but if it helps save some lives, I am all for it!

At the same time, Elon poured some cold…
